When you request a free solar savings report or contact us, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, phone number, email address, home address, approximate monthly electric bill, and homeowner status. We use this to determine program eligibility, prepare your report, and follow up with you.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, we and our analytics and advertising providers may automatically log standard web information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit, the referring page, and timestamps. We use this to understand site performance, measure our advertising, and improve the experience.

We use first-party cookies for basic site functionality and may use third-party cookies and pixels (such as Google Analytics and the Meta pixel) for analytics and advertising attribution. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as expected if you do.

Calls & text messages
If you provide your phone number and check the consent box on our form, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages and phone calls from Pay the Man Solar at the number you provide — for example, messages and calls about your solar savings report, scheduling, and follow-ups. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts, or HELP for help. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information (including your phone number and SMS opt-in consent) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell your phone number or your SMS consent. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates.
Automated and AI voice calls
When you provide your phone number and consent, you agree that Pay the Man Solar may contact you by phone using an automated telephone dialing system and/or an artificial, prerecorded, or AI-generated voice. These calls are part of how we follow up on your request, answer questions, and help you schedule. Consent to receive these calls is not a condition of any purchase. You can ask us to stop calling at any time during a call or by contacting us using the information below, and we will honor your request.
For quality, training, and recordkeeping, calls to or from us may be monitored or recorded. Because we serve homeowners in states that require the consent of all parties to record a call (including Pennsylvania and Illinois), our automated and AI voice calls disclose at the start of the call that the call may be recorded; if you do not wish to be recorded, you may tell us or end the call.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us run our business — such as our CRM and messaging platform, hosting provider, analytics provider, and advertising platforms. These providers are permitted to use your information only to deliver their services to us, and (as stated above) we do not share SMS consent or mobile opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.
- Solar program partners and installers, only as needed to prepare or fulfill the solar assessment you requested, and only with information relevant to that request.
- Legal compliance — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Pay the Man Solar or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, sale, or change of control, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
- Phone calls: tell us you'd prefer not to be called and we'll honor it.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

State privacy rights
If you reside in a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete or correct it, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell). To exercise these rights, contact us using the information above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security & retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure. We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or anonymize it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, if changes are material, provide additional notice.
